Name: Diablo Cortar (lit. Devil Cut/to Cut; Spanish)
Age: Unknown, but he physically appeares to be younger than most Arrancar
Gender: Male
Personality:
Skill Level: Cero/Bala: Advanced
Skill Level: Sonido: Advanced
Skill Level: Pesquisa: Intermediate
History/Background:
Age: Unknown, but he physically appeares to be younger than most Arrancar
Gender: Male
Personality:
Unlike most other arrancar, Diablo prefers to remain quiet, keeping his thoughts to himself. He also tends to be pessimistic, believing the worst outcome of any situation will happen, another trait not usually shared by his fellow arrancar. Another one of Diablo's distinguishing features is the fact that he is a masochist. His masochism mainly stems from his he uses his skills while in battle, however, he has somewhat of an obsession with blood, enjoying to give himself small cuts to watch his blood. Despite these odd features, Diablo is very serious, and because of his apparent lack of arrogance, is usually the one to take things slow, which has, on many occasions, saved him where other, more arrogant arrancar have died.Appearance:
When it comes to the other arrancar, Diablo does not respect nor disrespect them; he just acknowledges their existence. Despite being pessimistic, he can also be cold, and even disturbing at times, pouring over the ways he could mangle a body or how to make an opponent bleed more. He is usually more like this when fighting, and although it is not intentional, it often freaks his opponents out. He is soft spoken as well, at most times, and does not usually raise his voice. However, to compensate for this, he will usually kill anyone who interrupts him or speaks to loud for him.
Fears:
Diablo fears death in a fight, however, it does not hold him back from fighting.
Likes/Hobbies:
Diablo enjoys the mere sight of blood, and, while not fighting and mainly when he is in Las Nocahs, can be found using blood, his own or another, to draw macabre images.
Arrancar Powers:
Diablo appears to be a younger male, maybe in his mid 20's, with red hair and eyes. His hollow mask takes the form of two horns, similar to thoes seen on demons in mythology, and a bone-like half masquerade mask that covers his left eye. His hollow hole is rather large and is located near the base of his stomach. While walking, he can sometimes appear to be in a trance, his eyes slightly less lively.
Diablo's aspect of death is blood, bleeding to death, or laceration. Because of this, most of his abilities/powers involve blood.Zanpakuto's name:
General Arrancar Powers:
Name: Bala (Bullet; Spanish)
Power: An arrancar alternative to the cero. The technique hardens the user's spiritual pressure and fires like a bullet. Though weaker than a cero blast, it moves twenty times faster and can be fired at a much higher rate.
Name: Cero (Zero; Spanish)
Power: High-powered energy blasts that can be fired from various body parts, such as the mouth, tongue, hand or fingers. Only menos, arrancar, and vizard have so far been shown to use cero attacks, and it appears that stronger entities can use it more efficiently. Various arrancar and hollow characters display variants of the technique, such as the Espada-exclusive gran rey cero and Pesshe Gatiishe and Dondochakka Bilstin's cero.
Name: Garganta (Throat; Spanish)
Power: This is how arrancar move to and from Hueco Mundo. It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway. Kaname Tōsen and Kisuke Urahara have also demonstrated the ability to use garganta; Mayuri Kurotsuchi explains that Soul Society cannot do this because they haven't researched the technique.
Name: Negación (Negation; Spanish)
Power: fields are used to rescue fellow hollows. Only the gillian-class menos have shown the ability to use it. Negación fields surround a target in a square beam of light that isolates the target from the dimension they are currently in, making it impossible to harm them. The field then pulls the target towards the menos that created the field. Espada have a special cube-shaped device called Caja Negación meant to simulate negación fields, which are used to punish their subordinates if necessary. The cube, when used on a subject, traps them in an alternate dimension from which there is no escape; however, this assumes it's being used as intended. More powerful arrancar, namely the Espada themselves, can escape given enough time.
Name: Pesquisa (Inquest; Spanish)
Power: is the arrancar equivalent of the shinigami ability to sense spiritual pressure.
Name: Sonido (Sound; Spanish)
Power: The arrancar equivalent of the Soul Reapers' flash steps and the Quincy hirenkyaku; it allows the user to travel at incredibly high speeds for short distances. Use of sonido is punctuated by a brief static sound, in contrast to the "swish" sound used for flash steps.
Name: Gran Rey Cero (Great King Zero)
Type: Offensive
Range: Long range
Description: A more powerful version of cero. Only Espada. Is is used by combining one's own blood with a cero.
Name:High-Speed Regeneration
Type: Defense
Range: Self
Description: Diablo is one of the few Arrancar who chose to actually keep his powers of instant regeneration from being a hollow.
High Reatisu:
Diablo has an extremely high amount of reatisu, and oddly enough, his reatisu grows stronger the more blood he loses.
Sangre (lit. Blood)Un-released Zanpakuto's Appearance:
Sangre is Spanish for blood, and is representative of Diablo's aspect of death.
Resurrección Release phrase::
In it's unreleased state, Diablo's sword takes on the form of a black, wickedly curved blade. The blade is seemingly made of a black fin-like appendage, whereas the hilt is seemingly bone. The guard is made of multiple demonic skulls, and the pommel even has a skull on it. The eyes of all the skulls glow red, making it appear as if the sword it's self was alive. The sword's blade is unique, in that it has a special type of jagged serration, which causes more damage and makes it easier to cut through objects and his opponents.
"The blood pours from my soul, Sangre"Resurrección Appearance::
Resurrección Abilities::
In his resurrección, Diablo's over appearance doesn't change that much. The two horns on his head grow much longer, and the mask covering his left eye comes all the way down to his cheek. He also grows a large white tail and retractable claws on his fingers and toes.
In his resurrección, Diablo has no visable weapon, other than his claws and tail; however, his powers truly come out in his resurrección. He is able to control blood; he can form it into any weapon he chooses (the blood becomes an actual weapon, like a spear). He can also draw blood straight from his opponent's body by merely placing his palm flat on them anywhere and then removing it, which will cause a huge gash to form and begin to literally squirt blood. This, however, is hard to do, as it is hard to place your palm flat against your opponent in battle. Diablo can also use any blood that has been spilled, his or his opponent's, and form them into attacks. An example of this is to gather up the blood and turn it into large spikes that will lacerate his enemy, or form a giant blade of the blood and fire it at his opponent. In this last case, the blade made of blood can cause massive damage. Diablo can also cause his opponent's wounds to bleed more, even up to the point where a zanpaktou spirit (like Zangetsu when he held back Ichigo's wounds in his fight with Kenpachi) cannot hold it back. Also, any cut inflicted by Diablo's claws will literally draw blood out of his opponent, the more serious the cut the more blood that is drawn out. If an opponent of Diablo's becomes covered in Diablo's blood, Diablo can use the blood to create multiple, inward facing spikes that will lacerate his opponent. Diablo can also cause any of his claws to grow to a long size, somewhat reminiscent of a needle, and use it to impale his opponent. This technique is very dangerous, as Diablo has pin point accuracy, and can easily target a vital organ and puncture it, causing internal bleeding.Skill Level: Hierro: Intermediate
Laceración (lit. Laceration; Spanish)
In appearances, this ability seems almost exactly like Grimmjow's Desgarrón, except in color. With this ability, Diablo has long red strands of reatisu, formed like blades, that emanate from his claws. However, unlike Grimmjow's technique, these strands are used to cause sever internal damage to his opponent, causing lacerations on internal organs. It does this by stabbing the strands of reatisu into them, and then quickly pulls them out.
Resurrección 2nd form:
Diablo also has a second form to his resurrección, however it can only be entered once Diablo has lost enough blood. Not much is known about this second form, since he has never used it in battle, but it is known to give him a great increase in all physical aspects, as well as the ability to fly (using his wings). This form was attained because Diablo was already a Vasto Lorde before becoming an Arrancar, allowing him to seal even more of his power into a second ressurection form.

History/Background:
It is not known how long ago it was when Diablo was alive in the human world, nor what his real name was; however there are a few things known about him. When he was really young, maybe around 4 or 5, his parent's were brutally murdered in front of him, ending with him covered in their blood. Ever since that day, Diablo had a fascination with blood, and also becoming a masochistic. This, however, is what ultimately lead to his death. After masochism, Diablo moved on to murder, killing anyone he could get away with, and painting with their blood. However, after a few murders, Diablo eventually got bored, and decided to take his own life. He did this by first cutting both arteries in both of his wrists, the back of his knee caps, and finally his throat.
Shortly after his death, and due to what he had done during his life, Diablo quickly became a hollow. As a weaker hollow, Diablo quickly began to devour human souls, hiding from any Shinigami that came near him. This was in part due to his pessimistic personality, which he even retained in his hollow form. Soon, however, Diablo moved to cannibalizing other hollows, needing more and more substantial reatisu. Eventually he became a Gillian, and for a while, retained no personality of his own.
After a few years, Diablo gained control over the gillian entity, the mask growing two horns that resemble his current mask. Once he gained the dominance, the only personality trait he had now was his apparent blood lust, causing him to go after fellow hollows and Gillian. However, he still retained a bit of his pessimism, allowing him to evade defeat by any other Gillian. After a few years, Diablo eventually became an Adjuchas, gaining much more power. Once he was an Adjuchas, he regained all of his personality traits, either that, or gained them for his current personality. He also began to kill and devour more hollows, having his fascination for blood restored. It is unknown how many years it took, but eventually, Diablo became the strongest class of hollow, the Vasto Lorde. However, after becoming this class, he seemingly disappeared for many years.
After many years, Diablo (As he was now known as) stumbled upon Aizen's fortress, Las Nochas. He did so after Aizen had left for the fake Karakura Town, and some time durring Ichigo's fight with Ulquiorra. Because he was a hollow, and because almost all of Aizen's forces were already occupied, Diablo was easily able to enter the depths of Las Nochas. It was there that he stumbled upon the Hōgyoku. Being drawn to it's powere, Diablo reached out to grasp the orb, which incidentally released it's powers, causing it to turn him into an Arrancar. This happened at the same time as Ichigo arose in his new hollow form, and although it is unconfirmed, it is one theory that the reatisu Diablo was emanating is what caused the change in Ichigo's hollow form; this, however, is just speculation.
As the few survivors of Aizen's war returned to Hueco Mundo, they were met by Diablo, a face they had never seen before. However, because of his high power levels and being an arrancar, he was accepted by the few remaining Arrancar, and also because they would need new Arrancar, especially strong one's like Diablo. Because of this, and the few remaining hollow, Diablo became the Primera Espada, at least for now. However, as soon as the Arrancar Kiyomi appeared, Diablo willingly gave her the top spot among the Espada, becoming the Segunda Espada.
